What is the Research Development Office?

The Research Development Office helps BYU faculty and student researchers to identify funding opportunities, connect with external funding officers, develop competitive proposals, and create effective research teams. We manage a large internal grant program called the Interdisciplinary Origination Awards (IDR). Our office serves as the central coordinator for limited submission competitions. We also provide assistance in developing Broader Impacts sections of National Science Foundation (NSF) proposals.
