Kristi Chase

Grant Development Specialist

College of Engineering
240M EB

Kristi Chase began her career as an Accountant at a private CPA firm in Provo, UT. While providing bookkeeping and tax preparation services, she gained the skills of interpreting and applying federal and state regulations. She applied this knowledge to her position as a Post-Award Administrator in BYU’s Grants and Contracts Accounting office. During the nearly 8 years she worked in that position, Kristi learned all things Uniform Guidance and developed love for the university research world and working with BYU’s Engineering College. This background allowed her to move naturally into her new/current role as the Research Development Specialist for the College of Engineering. She holds both a B.S. and MAcc from Brigham Young University. If you can pull Kristi away from an Excel spreadsheet, you’ll find her reading a desperate “Man vs Nature” survival book, eating unhealthy amounts of butter or playing board and card games with her husband, Joseph, and their five children.

Kristi is delighted to work hand-in-hand with Kaytlin Mangelson, Research Development Officer for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
