PIVOT uses online search engines to access a large database of funding opportunities covering most academic disciplines including federal and private funding sources.

To create a BYU account with PIVOT, go to this page and select the option below the blue “Sign In” button that says “Create account.”

On the next page, choose the option to “Use Email Address/Create Password.”

Enter your Name information. Under “Institution Email” you must use your netid@byu.edu. Create a password and select “Brigham Young University” under Affiliated Member Institution.

After hitting the button to “Create my account” you will be sent a confirmation email. Click the link in the confirmation email that says “Confirm my registration.”

Return to the Sign In page and enter your netid@byu.edu and the password you created for this account.

Once logged in, you will be taken to a homepage that says “Claim your profile” in red letters at the top. Select blue button that says, “Search Profiles or Create Profile.” On the next page, choose “Create your Profile.” This will prompt you to add your professional profile information that will be visible to other users.
