Faculty Research Resources

Institutional Review Process

Research Development Coordinator Erica Miller explains the IRB process.

Research Networking Event

The annual Research Networking event is an opportunity for faculty to spend three minutes sharing their research interests and expertise. Faculty can attend the event to look for collaborators, or simply learn about research happening on campus. Following the presentations, there is a networking lunch.

The event is typically held on Tuesday morning during BYU’s Annual University Conference Week (August).

Faculty Collaboration Database

Research Development maintains a database of faculty and their research interests. If you are looking for a collaborator with a particular skill set or research area, we can do a search and try to find a match for you.

Interdisciplinary Research Origination Awards

As the need for interdisciplinary research teams increase, BYU wants to help teams succeed. Thanks to the Simmons Research Endowment, Research Development manages five interdisciplinary seed grants. These awards give research teams the funding they need to get a project started and set up to be successful in applying for larger opportunities from external funders.
