Brittany is the Research Development Specialist for the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences (FHSS). She has a Master’s and PhD in Human and Social Services and a BS in Marriage and Family Studies. Her expertise is in marriage and divorce with an emphasis in late-life divorce and adult children of divorce. She has experience with editing, IRB, and research protocol. She is excited to help the FHSS faculty find funding opportunities and assist with the grant process.

What Do I Do?

  • Locate funding opportunities for faculty in FHSS.
  • Help ease the burden of the grant process from search to submission.
  • Provide feedback and helpful resources to allow for a winning proposal.
  • Teach students how to find funding opportunities.

What is the Grant Process?

I work with you from beginning to end to ensure you have the help, support, and resources you need to make this process as seamless as possible.

After you have submitted your proposal, I work to support and transition you over to the Research Administration Office (RAO) who track all external grants and provide post-award grant management.

What’s the benefit to you?

o Dollars to fund FHSS research in areas you think deserve attention.
o Potential research and publications to boost your faculty profile.
o Opportunity to mentor students and increase their interest and knowledge of research.
o Collaboration across university departments, universities, or industries.
o Experience and knowledge of the grant process.
